|• Knowledgeable in all aspects of AC/DC circuits and controls to include wiring, installation and theory. • Assists plant operations by working to repair and maintain buildings, equipment, and other company assets to ensure safe and efficient operation and use. • Knowledgeable in all aspects of hydraulic operations and installations to include pumps, cylinders, valves, piping, controls, and troubleshooting. • Knowledge of electrical theory from 480V down 110V single phase voltages and be able to wire, install, and maintain all of the above. Also be thoroughly familiar with plant wiring and skilled to ensure compliance with NEC. • Able to safely mount and set machinery (install and layout) for electrical and mechanical set up. • Knowledgeable in pneumatic operations and controls (air compressors) to include installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. • Must be thoroughly familiar with facility piping (natural gas, argon, 02, air, N2, water-basic plumbing and repairs) and appropriate codes. • Must be thoroughly trained in the mechanical knowledge of chains, sprocketting, and gears on overhead cranes to include repair and troubleshooting. Also trained in the use of micrometer and how to take measurements with it on the cranes. • Be thoroughly knowledgeable and able to use the following tools – 1.25” hand tools and down, 30 metric on down, and Allen wrenches. • Knowledgeable in power tool repair and maintenance (and be able to perform), impact wrenches, battery drills, pencil grinders, grinders, porta band saw, and welding machines. • Knowledgeable in small engine repair and forklifts, mobile welders, vehicle maintenance, and gas compressors (and be able to perform). • Knowledgeable in and able to conduct HVAC maintenance and repair to include preventive maintenance.|
|• Knowledge of pneumatic operations and controls required. • Thorough understanding and experience in facility piping and appropriate codes required. • Must be able to work at heights. • Experience in and ability to perform welding required. • Thorough understanding and experience in the repair and troubleshooting of overhead cranes required. • Knowledge of power tool repair and maintenance required. • Knowledge and ability to conduct HVAC maintenance and repair required. • Knowledge of failure analysis – mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic – required. • Ability to learn the preventive maintenance of Astec equipment and machinery required. • Safety training of forklifts, cranes, respiratory protection, fit testing, and confined space entry required. • Follows proper safety rules and procedures/requirements at all times.|
